WHAT IS ULTRASOUND

Ultrasound is a therapeutic treatment using high-frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injuries. The sound vibrations as fast as a million times a second, penetrate tissues deep in the body, creating a heat response, that breaks down and disperses unhealthy calcium and other hard tissue accumulations and cross fibers in scar tissue . A gel is is used to conduct the sound waves below the surface of the skin. Most patients feel a mild heating and relaxing sensation in their muscles.
